A.The San Juan Islands Mystery series is about Adele Plank’s discovery of the islands and how those islands help her to better understand herself. She’s an inquisitive, strong-willed young woman who grows more interesting and adventurous with each book in the series.

Q. What books are you reading now?

A.James Breakwell’s Only Dead on the Inside: A Parent’s Guide to Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse. It’s silly, heartfelt and chock full of simple wisdom. It’s also very-very funny. We all need a break from the serious from time to time, yeah?
