Been on a serious Waylon kick of late. He’s too often overshadowed by his close friend and contemporary, Johnny Cash but Waylon was and remains a legend in his own right. Throughout much of the 70’s it was Waylon, not Johnny, who rewrote the rules of Nashville music.
A true free American country spirit, his tunes have held up very well over time. When I need a break from writing Waylon remains one of my go-to artists to relax and clear my head.
