Readers of my novel, THE IRISH COWBOY are already familiar with the location of Savage, Montana.
My newest standalone novel takes place in that very same location and is titled appropriately enough – SAVAGE. Subscribers to my newsletter were the first to have been given a heads-up on the novel’s development. (Subscribe HERE )
As of now it is being shopped to a big-name publisher. Whether that publisher chooses to take it on remains to be seen. In the meantime a very much deserved thank-you goes out to Megan Mulder of Kindle Press for assisting in that endeavor. Megan and the entire Kindle Press team have been a constant source of encouragement and help via their involvement with my ongoing San Juan Islands Mystery series.
The fourth installment of that series, ROSARIO’S REVENGE currently has a tentative availability of late 2017 or early 2018.
In the meantime, let’s talk a bit about SAVAGE.
Like THE IRISH COWBOY it is a family-based drama/mystery with just a hint of the paranormal. There are two main characters. Morning McGreevy is a student at Idaho State University located in Moscow, Idaho. While visiting with her grandmother in Portland, Oregon she discovers the handwritten journal of her great-great grandfather, Cy McGreevy. From there the mystery begins – a mystery hinted at by Morning’s grandmother who warns Morning there is a good bit of darkness to be found within the McGreevy family’s past.
Cy’s story will soon have Morning journeying to its beginning – the long-ago family ranch of Savage, Montana. It is there where past, present, and future intersect with an outcome the reader will not realize until the story’s conclusion.
We are all bound by blood and time and the journey never truly ends.
