D.W. Ulsterman On The Death Of Chris Cornell

Damn.

Another goodbye to a piece of my generation’s youth. Chris Cornell died from what authorities have declared to be a suicide.

I won’t go into what may or may not have motivated such a talented and iconic man to do such a thing. Instead, I’ll remember the music, the voice, and the attitude of an era when America still rocked.

He was 52 years old. Just a kid, really, with so much left to learn and give…

And here he is just a month before his death. The voice was there but the eyes… This is a man in some kind of terrible pain.
